We are extremely excited to announce that the Calhoun Drum Academy has been invited by NYSFBC (New York State Field Band Conference) and USBands to perform in exhibition at two different marching band competitions on Long Island! Sat 10/3 - NYSFBC - "Pursuit of Pride" - Malverne HS, Malverne, NY Sun 11/1 - USBands NY State Championships - Lindenhurst Middle School, Lindenhurst, NY. Both events will also feature some of the top HS Marching Bands from New York State!

Farmingdale School District is teaming up with alumnus Brian Calhoun and his Calhoun Drum Academy (All Abilities Drumline) for a groundbreaking new documentary celebrating inclusion, unity, and the power of music. This inspiring project — featuring students from Farmingdale High School and Calhoun’s nationally recognized ensemble — is currently being filmed by award-winning NYC filmmakers 🎥 The film is scheduled to be released in late 2026. Watch the journey unfold as we shine a spotlight on ability, community, and what it truly means to belong.
